Lawrence Emeagwali
Founder/Editor-In-Chief

Professor Okechukwu Lawrence Emeagwali leads MARRII (Management Research Relevance and Impact Indexing) with a vision to bridge the gap between academic research and practical management application. Professor Emeagwali holds a doctorate degree in management (strategy specialization); is a Full Professor of Strategic Management at Girne American University Cyprus; and brings a combined experience of over 15 years in both management academia and management practice to MARRII. Before founding MARRII, Professor Emeagwali held and still holds the role of Chair of the Department of Business Management and Director of the Center for Management Research both at the Faculty of Business and Economics of Girne American University Cyprus. A thought leader, Professor Emeagwali has published in top academic journals and frequently speaks at industry conferences.
At MARRII, Professor Emeagwali focuses on advancing the mission of curating, evaluating, and indexing relevant management research. Under his leadership, MARRII is rigorously on-boarding relevant management research sources, rapidly developing its archives, improving its novel evaluation and curation processes, and strengthening academic and industry partnerships. With a passion to make management research more relevant and useful to management practitioners, Professor Okechukwu Lawrence Emeagwali drives MARRII forward, ensuring management practitioners access the most practitioner-relevant and  practitioner-useful management research.

Serife Eyupoglu
Executive Editor, MARRII

Professor Serife Eyupoglu serves as the Executive Editor at MARRII (Management Research Relevance and Impact Indexing), overseeing the curation and evaluation of impactful management research at the executive operations level. With a doctorate degree in management and organizations and a career spanning 30 years in academic and research roles, Professor Eyupoglu brings a deep expertise in academic publishing and a keen eye for relevant content. Prior to joining MARRII, Professor Eyupoglu held and currently is the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences as well as the Chair of the Department of Business Administration at Near East University, Cyprus. Renowned for her editorial acumen, Professor Eyupoglu has contributed to numerous publications with a significant portion in top-rated management journals. Her dedication to excellence and her passion for management research relevance makes her an invaluable driver of the MARRII vision.

At MARRII, Professor Eyupoglu focuses on ensuring internally management research independently curated by our Relevant Content Selection Advisory Board (RCSAB) meets the highest standards of relevance and utility for management practitioners. She plays a key role in refining MARRII's evaluation processes and expanding its network of contributors. With a passion for bridging research and practice, Professor Eyupoglu is dedicated to advancing MARRII's mission supporting management practitioners with valuable insights.

Wendy Chen,
Deputy Executive Editor, MARRII

Associate Professor Wendy D. Chen serves as the Deputy Executive Editor at MARRII (Management Research Relevance and Impact Indexing), where she helps advance MARRII's mission and supports the internal editorial team in their oversight function of steering the RCSAB's curation and evaluation of practitioner-relevant and useful management research. Dr. Chen is a tenured associate professor at Texas Tech University and a research fellow at Indiana University in the US. She is an expert in management, leadership, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Dr. Chen is a well-published researcher and an award-winning scholar. Her research has been featured by prominent media outlets such as NPR (National Public Radio), the Business of Government Hour by IBM Center for the Business Government, and other top public-facing publications such as American Politics and Policy managed by the London School of Economics, and The Conversation, etc. She is a strong advocate for research relevance and for bridging the gap between academic research and real-world practice. As an editor for the Management Decision journal, the world’s oldest academic journal focusing on management, she founded the “In Motion” section that promotes research balancing rigor, impact, and ease of implementation.
At MARRII, Dr. Chen assists in maintaining MARRII’s internal editorial oversight function and plays a vital role in refining our evaluation & curation standards, and expanding MARRII's archival collections. With a strong commitment to advancing management practice through research, Dr. Chen is dedicated to supporting MARRII's mission & enhancing the science available to practitioners.

Sanae Obaha
Director of Editorial Relations, MARRII

Sanae Obaha is the Director of Editorial Relations at MARRII (Management Research Relevance and Impact Indexing), where she oversees strategic partnerships with academic publishers and research institutions. With a master’s degree in Finance; a doctoral candidacy in Business management and years of experience in relationship building, Sanae excels in fostering collaborations that enhance the reach and impact of management research.Before joining MARRII, Sanae held positions in International marketing and International Relations at Rauf Denktas University, Cyprus where she was actively involved in developing inter-institutional partnerships and coordinating international student relations.
At MARRII, Ms Obaha is responsible for developing and managing relationships with members of the Relevant Content Selection Advisory Board, academic and industry  partners. She plays a crucial role in ensuring that MARRII develops and maintains a robust network of partners instrumental to the curation of management research of the highest relevance and quality for management practitioners. With a passion for enhancing the impact of management research, Ms Obaha is dedicated to supporting MARRII's purpose: 'changing the world through relevant management science' by strengthening its editorial network and global reach.
